Positions and Responsibilities
President
- Responsible for overall league operations. Accountable to local league, Board of Directors, Regional District and Little League USA/ International.
- Represent league at all Little League and District functions.
- Attend regular D9 and Little League meetings.
- Communicate to BNLL Board of Directors important matters from Little League.
- Prepare and submit annual budget and financial projections.
- Approve all safety plans, local rules, constitutions, etc.
- File all Little League paperwork and complete all online information.
- Approve all drafts, team rosters, managers, coaches, agents, etc.
- Investigate complaints, irregularities and conditions detrimental to the league.
- Escalation point for league issues.
Treasurer
- Manage all league finances, bank accounts, books, financial reports, etc.
- Approve all purchases and collect all receipts, invoices, etc.
- Signs all league checks.
- Ensure all tax and Little League financial filings are completed.
- Process refunds and other credits.
- Collect and process sponsorship and other payments.
- Help collect outstanding balances; monitor unpaid memberships.
Secretary
- Record activities of the league and maintain appropriate files, mailing lists, records, etc.
- Manage Board Meeting process.
- Maintain formal record of all agenda items, tasks, project, proposals, votes and outcomes.
- Maintain and post (online) minutes from each Board Meeting.
- Manage and publish meeting agendas and topics.
VP Drafted Division Baseball (Coast, Majors)
- Responsible for overall operations for Drafted Division baseball.
- Work with other leagues specific to local rules, tournament play, interlocks, etc.
- Attend scheduled District 9 meetings.
- Take lead on recruiting, securing and preparing managers and coaches.
- Ensure all coaching requirements are met (e.g., volunteer forms, safety training, coach training, etc.).
- Manage and resolve issues with players, parents, managers and coaches.
- Organize and oversee evaluations, team drafts, all-star drafts and roster moves.
VP Un-Drafted Division Baseball (A, AA, AAA)
- Responsible for overall operations for Un-Drafted Division baseball.
- Work with other leagues specific to local rules, tournament play, interlocks, etc.
- Attend scheduled District 9 meetings.
- Take lead on recruiting, securing and preparing managers and coaches.
- Ensure all coaching requirements are met (e.g., volunteer forms, safety training, coach training, etc.).
- Manage and resolve issues with players, parents, managers and coaches.
- Organize and oversee evaluations, team drafts, all-star drafts and roster moves.
VP Softball
- Responsible for overall operations for Un-Drafted and Drafted Divisions of softball.
- Work with other leagues specific to combinations, local rules, tournament play, interlocks, etc.
- Attend scheduled District 9 meetings.
- Take lead on recruiting, securing and preparing managers and coaches.
- Ensure all coaching requirements are met (e.g., volunteer forms, safety training, coach training, etc.).
- Manage and resolve issues with players, parents, managers and coaches.
- Organize and oversee evaluations, team drafts, roster assignments, all-star drafts and roster moves.
Tee Ball Coordinator
- Responsible for overall operations for Tee Ball Division.
- Take lead on recruiting, securing and preparing managers and coaches.
- Ensure all coaching requirements are met (e.g., volunteer forms, safety training, coach training, etc.).
- Manage and resolve issues with players, parents, managers and coaches.
- Implement Tee Ball player and coach training programs.
Summer Ball Coordinator
- Responsible for overall operations for Summer Ball season.
- Take lead on recruiting, securing and preparing managers and coaches.
- Ensure all coaching requirements are met (e.g., volunteer forms, safety training, coach training, etc.).
- Manage and resolve issues with players, parents, managers and coaches.
UIC (Umpire in Charge)
- Responsible for the organization and administration of league umpire program.
- Provides umpire training and curriculum.
- Helps schedule umpires and manages.
- Member of the protest committee.
- Works with District UIC to support trainings, tournaments, etc.
Safety Officer
- Coordinates all safety activities including supervision of ASAP plan, manager and coach safety training, playing and field conditions, injury prevention, first-aid kit audits, etc.
- Responsible for completing and submitting annual ASAP Safety Plan, including facility inspection.
- Responsible for all league injury tracking, claims, paperwork, etc.
Registrar
- Oversee registrations and member enrollment.
- Help manage and audit player registrations at designate Divisions specific to league ages, etc.
- Provide updates on registration numbers.
- Help recruit, particularly at lower levels, at elementary schools, etc.
- Organize sign postings and pickups.
- Help audit player payments and unpaid registrations.
Field Scheduling & Management
- Work with City of Bellevue and Bellevue School District to secure and administer fields for Spring & Summer Season(s).
- Maintain master list of available fields and work with City and School Board to ensure we have fields as needed, and receive credit for unused fields (e.g., rain outs).
- Schedule practices and games for all Baseball and Tee Ball Divisions. Allocate Fields for Softball Divisions (scheduling completed by District 9).
- Monitor field usage and issues (e.g., 2 teams claiming same field allocation).
- Working with other leagues to support tournament and interlock play.
Field Management & Maintenance
- Responsible for the maintenance of all BNLL green boxes on all fields (City and School Board) to ensure proper availability of required items supplies (chalk, umpire gear, pitching machines, first-aid packs, pitching mounds, locks, etc.).
- Responsible for overseeing maintenance at BNLL Federal Field (seeding, landscaping, watering, mowing, raking, dragging, etc.).
- Maintaining inventory of specific items such as field chalk, spreaders, pitching mounds, pitching machines, etc.
Baseball Equipment & Uniforms
- Manage all baseball equipment and uniforms.
- Ensure adequate inventory of balls, catchers gear, bats, helmets, etc. and put together coach packages.
- Manage coach equipment pickup and year end return cycles.
- Present equipment purchase requests to President and Treasurer for approval and fulfillment.
- Manage team uniform disbursement and year end pickup.
- Maintain proper inventory or all equipment and uniforms.
Softball Equipment & Uniforms
- Manage all softball equipment and uniforms.

Fundraising & Sponsorships
- Lead the outreach effort to engage potential community sponsors, including managing the prospect contact list.
- Maintain regular communications with sponsors throughout the year, ie; thank you and annual re-sponsor messages.
- Work with communications board member for content to leverage sponsor match opportunities.
Events & Community
- Take lead on administration and organization for all league events including opening day, picture day, Tee Ball day, all-star gala, etc.
- Work with vendors to secure equipment, food, etc. as needed.
- Recruit and manage volunteers to assist with event operations.
Volunteer Coordinator
- Help recruit and administer all league volunteers.
- Manage background checks for all league managers, coaches and volunteers.
- Manage and maintain accurate list of volunteers.
